As a player on Hub, you can discover venues, book padel courts, find match partners, and manage your playing schedule. This guide covers everything you need to know.

Getting Started

Complete Your Profile

Navigate to Settings from your dashboard to update your profile information:
  • Add your skill level (Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, Professional)
  • Upload a profile photo
  • Set your preferred playing location
  • Configure notification preferences
A complete profile helps other players find you for matches and builds trust in the community.

Explore Venues

Browse available venues in your area from the dashboard. You can:
  • View venues on a map
  • Search by location and radius
  • See venue details, amenities, and court availability
  • View photos and reviews

Make Your First Booking

Select a venue, choose an available time slot, and complete your booking with secure payment processing.

Browse Venues

Use the venue search to find courts near you. Filter by distance, price range, and amenities.

Check Availability

View real-time slot availability for any date. Available slots are shown in green.

Creating a Booking

Select a Venue

Click on any venue to view its resources (courts) and detailed information.

Choose Date and Time

Select your preferred date and click on an available time slot. Each slot shows:
  • Start and end time
  • Duration (typically 60 or 90 minutes)
  • Price for that time slot
  • Court type and features

Confirm and Pay

Review your booking details and complete payment securely. You’ll receive:
  • Instant booking confirmation
  • Email receipt
  • Calendar invitation (if enabled)
Payment is processed immediately. Cancellation policies vary by venue - check the venue’s terms before booking.

Managing Your Bookings

Access all your bookings from Dashboard > Bookings:
  • Upcoming: View all confirmed future bookings
  • Past: Review booking history
  • Cancel: Cancel bookings according to the venue’s policy
Add bookings to your calendar by clicking the “Add to Calendar” button in your booking details.

Match Making

Hub’s intelligent match-making system helps you find players at your level for competitive games.

How Match Making Works

  1. Search for Slots: Find available courts that fit your schedule and location
  2. Create Match Request: Book a slot and specify match format (2v2, 1v1) and skill level
  3. Payment Hold: Your payment is held securely until the match is confirmed
  4. Find Players: The system sends invitations to players matching your criteria
  5. Match Confirmed: Once all spots are filled, your match is confirmed
  6. Play & Check-in: Show up and check in using your phone’s GPS

Creating a Match Request

Search Available Match Slots

From the dashboard, click Find a Match. Set your search criteria:
  • Location: Enter your location or use GPS
  • Date & Time: When you want to play
  • Duration: Typical match length (60-90 minutes)
  • Format: 2v2 (doubles) or 1v1 (singles)
  • Skill Level: Your playing level
The system will show all available slots matching your criteria.

Select a Slot and Create Request

Choose your preferred slot and click Create Match Request. You’ll need to:
  • Confirm the booking details
  • Add an optional message to potential players
  • Complete payment (held until match is confirmed)

Wait for Players

The system automatically sends invitations to players in your area who match your skill level. You’ll receive notifications as players accept.

Match Confirmed

Once all spots are filled, your match is confirmed and all players receive:
  • Match details and court location
  • Opponent profiles
  • Check-in instructions
If the match isn’t filled within 24 hours of the booking time, your payment will be automatically refunded.

Responding to Match Invitations

Receive invitations from other players organizing matches:
  1. View Invitation: Check match details, location, time, and organizer profile
  2. Accept or Decline: Respond to the invitation
  3. Join the Match: If accepted, complete payment and you’re in

Managing Your Matches

From Dashboard > Matches, you can:
  • View all upcoming matches
  • See participant profiles
  • Check match location and time
  • Cancel (with restrictions) or report absence
  • View match history

Match Day

Check In

Use the Check In button when you arrive at the venue. GPS verification confirms your attendance.

Report Absence

Can’t make it? Report your absence ASAP. The system will find a substitute and your spot may be penalized based on timing.
No-shows without reporting absence may result in temporary suspension from match-making.

Match Policies

  • 48+ hours before: Full refund, leave match freely
  • 24-48 hours before: May incur cancellation fee
  • Under 24 hours: Report absence to find substitute, fees apply
  • No-show: Full charge + potential account restriction
  • Beginner: New to padel, learning basics
  • Intermediate: Comfortable with rules, developing strategy
  • Advanced: Competitive player, strong technique
  • Professional: Tournament-level play

Profile & Settings

Profile Management

Keep your profile up to date:
  • Personal Info: Name, email, phone number
  • Avatar: Profile photo (visible to other players)
  • Skill Level: Update as you improve
  • Location: Default search location
  • Privacy: Control what information is visible

Notification Settings

Customize how you receive updates:
  • Match invitations
  • Booking confirmations
  • Match reminders (1 day, 1 hour before)
  • Cancellations and changes
  • Promotional offers

Tips & Best Practices

Book Early

Popular time slots (evenings, weekends) fill up quickly. Book in advance to secure your preferred times.

Complete Your Profile

A complete profile with a photo increases your match invitation acceptance rate by 60%.

Respond Quickly

Match invitations are sent to multiple players. Accept quickly to secure your spot.

Be Reliable

Always show up for confirmed matches. Your reliability rating affects future match invitations.

Troubleshooting

Possible solutions:
  • Expand your search radius
  • Try different dates or times
  • Check if you’ve filtered by price or specific venue
  • Verify the venue is active (some venues have seasonal hours)
Check the following:
  • Card has sufficient funds
  • Card details are correct
  • Card is enabled for online transactions
  • Try a different payment method
  • Contact your bank if the issue persists
Try these steps:
  • Verify your skill level is set correctly
  • Expand your search radius in preferences
  • Ensure notifications are enabled
  • Check your spam folder for invitation emails
  • Try creating your own match request
  • Navigate to Dashboard > Matches
  • Click on the match to view details
  • Click Report Absence to notify other players
  • The system will attempt to find a substitute
  • Cancellation fees may apply based on timing
Verify:
  • Location services are enabled on your device
  • You’re within 100 meters of the venue
  • GPS signal is strong (try moving outside if indoors)
  • You’re checking in within the allowed time window
